We are practically full, but excellent MSc, PhD students and post-docs that want to tackle major cellular, developmental and evolutionary questions are welcome to reach out and find if there is an opening. The projects involve advanced embryology, molecular biology, imaging, mathematical models and bioinformatics analyses. We specifically study:
1. The role of mechanosesning and focal adhesion in recognizing the biomineralization compartment .
2. Vesicular trafficking into the biomineralization compartment and its regulation by the cytoskeleton machinery.
3. The interaction between the genetic and mechanical information processing and how it evolved during the onset of biomineralization in echinoderms.
4. Other cool stuff.
